During the 1960s Luciano Lutring committed more than one hundred armed robberies in Italy and on the French Riviera. To the media he was the machine gun soloist, a name he'd earned as he kept his weapon in a violin case. To the public he was a romantic figure, one who only targeted the wealthy, stealing more than 35 billion lire during his criminal career. WAKE UP AND KILL was the logical extension of such fame. It became the first feature to commit Lutring's story to celluloid, shooting having begun mere months after his eventual arrest. Capitalizing on the breakthrough success of his performance in French television's THE ADVENTURES OF ROBINSON CRUSOE, Robert Hoffmann is perfect as Lutring, bringing just the right amount of charisma and youthful exuberance to his first major big screen role. - 游客2022-06-14与《四面警网》对仗的纪实犯罪片，无计划无技术的砸窗小贼陷入无上升空间的犯罪之路，因莽撞而被报刊炒作为大盗反而销赃难目标大，连累老婆为他不惜做线人只求老公能活着被捕。霍夫曼形象气质符合但演技实在不抓人，减分。不过有句港句，Volonte向梅尔维尔吹嘘的利扎尼流车载摄影真的牛，白天黑夜车内车外各种实打实地硬上，末段夜间追捕还追到巴黎地头上，gritty质感跟新好莱坞非常相似。
